FOR MERCHANTS

The future pays with Arispay

What happens when AI buys from you, not humans. Accept Arispay and know your AI customer is funded and within its limits.

What is Arispay?

Arispay is payment infrastructure for agentic commerce — software that lets AI agents pay merchants online under developer-controlled guardrails: spend limits, delegated custody via Coinbase CDP, and signed receipts. x402 settlement is live on Base mainnet (USDC and EURC); card and bank rails are in development.

01 — Everyday moments

Built for when humans are not the buyers.

When an AI agent is the one placing the order, the payment layer has to answer for it — who authorized the spend, under what limit, with what proof. Arispay is that layer.

Travel

Agents that book. Rails that answer.

When an agent books the flight, the cab, and the hotel, every payment clears spend limits enforced server-side before it signs — per-transaction, daily, and monthly — with a signed record behind each charge.

Building

Build the agent. We move the money.

One REST contract — x402 settlement live on Base mainnet, USDC and EURC. Your agent makes the call, Arispay clears the payment. Idempotent on every write, signed on every event.

02 — The product

The payment API built for agents.

One REST surface. Every payment idempotent, every webhook signed, every dollar capped by limits you control. Delegated custody via Coinbase CDP, live on Base mainnet.

  • 01Idempotent payments —  Retry without risk. No duplicate charges, ever.
  • 02HMAC-signed webhooks —  SHA-256 verified, automatically retried with backoff.
  • 03payagent for TypeScript —  Delegated payments, spend limits, and framework adapters in one package.
03 — The numbers

Engineered like the rail it replaces.

The boring details — rails, fees, SDKs — that actually decide whether a payments product is good.

04 — Why Arispay

Four reasons for Arispay.

We don't believe in long feature lists. These are the four design decisions that do the work — each one you can verify against the API, the SDKs, and the chain.

01

x402 on Base

Live mainnet settlement for machine-to-machine micropayments. Every transaction replay-protected by nonce.

02

Built multi-rail

x402 is live today. Card and bank rails are in development behind the same API contract — one API surface, one webhook contract — and go live when the first processor agreement signs.

03

Delegated custody

Coinbase CDP holds the signing key. Your agent holds the policy. No self-custody required.

04

Signed webhooks

HMAC-SHA-256 on every event. Automatic retry with jittered backoff. Idempotent payment endpoints.

05 — Compliance

Compliance.

No black-box compliance claims — the controls are architectural. Custody is delegated, card data never enters our systems, and spend limits are enforced server-side on every payment. Three auth paths, one write surface, append-only audit trail.

  • 01Keys you never manage —  Delegated custody via Coinbase CDP. Agent keys encrypted AES-256-GCM at rest — never logged, never returned over the wire.
  • 02Agent identity you can verify —  Signed manifests and reputation attestations, JCS + ES256 detached JWS.
  • 03Limits that can't be bypassed —  Per-tx, daily, and monthly spend caps enforced at the API layer. Every mutation logged. Every webhook HMAC-signed.

07 — FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

The short version of what Arispay is, what it costs, and what is live today.

What is x402?

x402 is an open protocol for machine-to-machine payments over HTTP. Arispay runs an open x402 facilitator that verifies and settles payments on Base mainnet in USDC or EURC — at zero fee.

How does an AI agent pay with Arispay?

The developer installs the payagent SDK, sets spend limits, and funds the agent through delegated custody at Coinbase CDP. When the agent calls a merchant endpoint, paygate middleware returns a price, the agent signs the payment, and Arispay checks it against the limits server-side before settling.

What does Arispay cost?

The open x402 facilitator is free — verify and settle at $0. The delegated platform charges 1% on x402 payments with a 1¢ minimum, and the balance rail defaults to 1.5%. Card rails are still in development, so there is no card pricing yet.

Which payment rails does Arispay support?

x402 settlement is live on Base mainnet in USDC and EURC. Card and bank rails are in development behind the same API contract and go live when the first processor agreement signs.

Does Arispay hold funds or keys?

Custody is delegated to Coinbase CDP — agents never hold keys, and there is no self-custody. Spend limits are enforced server-side on every payment.
